10 questions worth asking yourself as Q1 comes to a close

There are a set of questions worth asking yourself as Q1 comes to a close.

Ironically, questions tend to be more valuable than their relative answers. The scope questions cover is broader, more complex, and contains greater potential.

The 10 following questions are posed to you as thought-provoking ideas, something to consider in a moment of self-reflection.

Challenging, but meant with encouragement and compassion. Answer these yourself, or even better, use them in a meeting with your leadership team and discuss them together.

  1. How in touch with your personal purpose are you at the moment?
  2. What is your most valuable learning about your business from Q1?
  3. What is the conversation you need to stop having?
  4. What would your ‘silent witness’ (i.e. the part of yourself that observes you from afar) say to you?
  5. What opportunity is so large and scary you’d rather not take it on?
  6. What feedback might your leadership team have for you?
  7. What is the state of your customer base at the moment?
  8. Which leader or business is inspiring you enough to model yourself on aspects of them?
  9. What is the most high-potential part of your business and are you giving it enough oxygen?
  10. What are you avoiding?

Challenging, but meant with encouragement and compassion. Answer these yourself, or even better, use them in a meeting with your leadership team and discuss them together.

Struggling to answer them?

I don’t blame you! They are pretty challenging.

It might be useful to unpack why, and what is holding you back from reaching optimal CEOship. If you’d like some direction and guidance through this process of reflection please feel free to get in touch with me to discuss how you can begin to set sight on your areas of focus for Q2.
